CUSTOM ORDERS
For inquiries/quotes, please email getaquote@collegecrib.com. Full payment is required when an order is placed. No work will proceed until payment is received and cleared. As a The College Crib customer you are purchasing our custom graphic design services. We provide this product to you via email in the form of a proof. Once the proof has been approved, your item(s) will be created based on that layout that you approved and shipped to the address that you designated. You will have an opportunity to request changes as necessary before any embroidery work has started.
SENDING GARMENTS: The College Crib allows customers to send in their own personal garments for embroidery to be added; in this situation, all The College Crib Terms and Conditions as well as the following special conditions apply:
- The customer is responsible for shipping the garment to The College Crib and paying for the completed item to be shipped back with insurance.
- The College Crib maintains the right to refuse any garment if the condition of the garment is deemed unsuitable for the desired embroidery.
- If the customer's garment is damaged during the production process, we will replicate the original garment to the best of our ability. We make no guarantee that the replacement will be identical to the original garment, only that it will be as similar to the original as possible,
- Under no circumstances will The College Crib pay monetary damages if the customer's garment is lost in transit to The College Crib or damaged during the production process.
PROOFS FOR CUSTOM ORDERS: The College Crib provides a full color proof for each order as well as for any change(s) made to an order. As the customer, you are 100% responsible for the accuracy of your layout. Please review all proofs carefully before approving. Double check garment size, spelling, and color because your order will be created based on the final proof that you approve. All previous requests are null and void once we have sent you a proof.
Change requests are handled in the order that they are received. We will make the changes and email you back a revised proof for your approval. Once we receive your final approval, we will begin the production process and no further changes can be made. Your order will be created based solely on the proof that you APPROVED.
CANCELLATIONS
Please note: You can request as many changes as you want until you are happy with the way your custom item looks. Therefore, there is usually no reason for cancellation. Changes are free of charge, as long as they are within the original amount that you paid and as long as you have not yet approved. However, if you are adding things to your order, then we will indicate the additional amount that you owe and you will need to pay it once you approve the design.
Should you wish to cancel your order, you will be subject to a cancellation fee based on the current production status of your job. The fees are as follows:
- 10%- prior to a proof being sent.
- 30% -after proof has been created, but prior to customer approval.
- NO REFUND- There will be NO refunds of any kind AFTER an order has been approved.
MAKING CHANGES AFTER YOUR CUSTOM ORDER IS APPROVED & IN PRODUCTION: Once we have received your final approval of the proof, NO changes are allowed to the artwork, design, clothing size, job characteristics, or turnaround time. Change requests after an order has been APPROVED will incur a minimum charge of $50. No exceptions. It does not matter how minor the change may seem or how soon after the order has been APPROVED. In some circumstances, a change request may be subject to the full price of a new garment.
CANCELLTION AFTER PRODUCTION HAS STARTED: Under NO circumstances may an order be cancelled once production has started.
CUSTOM ART DIGITZING: Since digitizing is a service that we pay our artists to perform for you, we do not allow refunds for digitizing. We will tweak your design up three times w/out additional fees, but if you want an entirely different design, you will have to pay a separate digitizing fee. The amount of this digitizing fee varies depending on the complexity. The customer will be notified in advance if additional fees are required to create a certain design. The digitizing fee is a one-time fee, and the digitized image may be reused on future orders at no additional charge. We reserve the right to refuse any design for any reason.
Any design submitted to The College Crib or used on any article of clothing created by The College Crib may be reused, modified, and/or resold by The College Crib. The College Crib does not furnish a digitized embroidery file to the customer for any purpose.
PRODUCTION TIME
We start counting the turnaround time when we receive proof approval. Upon receiving an order, a proof is usually submitted to the customer via email within 2 business days (if your design is very complicated, developing the proof may take longer). This proof will be a nearly exact replica of your garment, and you will be given the opportunity to request changes before you approve. No changes are permitted after proof APPROVAL.
Normal estimated 15-30 business day production time: Once the proof has been approved, our estimated production time is approximately 15-30 business days depending on what item you ordered. Production time is an estimate, not a guarantee. Your order could be completed a few days sooner or a few days later than the estimated date. Shipping time is not included in the estimated production time. Upon request, we can work to meet a specific timeline for certain projects; however, again these times are not guaranteed unless you upgrade to Rush Production. Business days are Monday through Friday. Holidays, Saturdays and Sundays do not count when calculating turnaround time. Group orders may take longer than the estimated turnaround time. Items ordered during peak season (between Sept-May) may take longer than the estimated turnaround time. The College Crib assumes no responsibility for delays caused by delivery carriers or any damages resulting from the failure to receive an order on time. Our estimated delivery date is not guaranteed. Your order may arrive late due to unforeseen delays in delivery service, the breakdown of equipment, illness, inclement weather, etc. The College Crib also assumes no responsibility for proof delays due to email server problems.
RUSH PRODUCTION: You must contact The College Crib for more information regarding rush orders as cost & time frames may vary. Contact email: Getaquote@collegecrib.com
What if my custom item doesn't fit? As the customer, you are 100% responsible for choosing the correct size. Since all merchandise is made to order, we cannot accept returns or exchanges if you choose the wrong size. We provide plenty of ways to help you choose the correct size. Please review our sizing charts and/or contact us to request a sizing kit. Or you can try on someone else's garment, or go to a store to try on the garment. If you do this, please note the brand of the garment that you tried on.
Tip: If you are debating between two sizes, we suggest that you go with the larger size. You can always take the garment to a local alterations shop and have them remove material to make it fit you perfectly.
Also note that the colors you see on your screen may differ from the actual color of the garments and materials in real life. This is a normal occurrence and does not constitute a manufacturing error.
BRAND OF GARMENT: If you want a particular brand of garment, then you must request that particular brand in writing. Otherwise, we will fulfill your order based on whatever brand is available at the time, as long as it the same color, style, and size that you selected. Specific brands are subject to availability, and requiring a specific brand may increase the price and/or delay your order.
JUST KEEPIN' IT CLEAN
How to clean your nylon crossing jacket: Use warm water along with a gentle detergent for best results. Hang or lay flat to dry. Adding fabric softener either to the rinse cycle in the washer or with a dryer sheet in the dryer will greatly reduce the static on nylon.
How to wash screen printed/Iron on transfer garments: Turn the garment Inside Out. Friction causes the screen-printed design to loosen and flake, so always remember to turn your garment inside out before you wash them. Use the gentle cycle. Wash in Cold Water. Hang Dry. Wash Less Often. Wear Less Often.
How do you wash embroidered garments: To avoid shrinkage, wash the fabric as gently as possible and air-dry if you can. Make sure to follow the fabric's care instructions. If you're concerned about the thread color bleeding onto the fabric (or vice versa), wash gently in cold water.
How do you wash garments with rhinestones/sequins: If you choose to machine wash clothes with sequins, turn the garment inside out so that the rhinestones/sequins are protected. Place the garment in a mesh lingerie bag for the most protection. Always use the gentle cycle with a cold water wash and rinse and a mild detergent.
How to wash a baseball cap: Cool-to-warm water in the sink, mild detergent, gentle rubbing with a clean washcloth should do it. Rinse in cool water. If it's a wool hat, handwash in cool water and a detergent specifically for wool. Wool can be temperamental, so wash gently and press with a towel to remove leftover water.
How to clean your snapback : By Hand: Mix a concoction of warm water and laundry detergent in a bowl. You can use a washcloth to dip in bowl. Then wipe the Cap inside and out
How do you clean Silver jewelry: White vinegar and baking soda: Use this gentle cleaner to remove heavy tarnish that's preventing you from polishing your silver. Soak the tarnished piece in a solution of 1/2 cup white vinegar and 2 tbsp. baking soda (be prepared for the fizzing!) for two to three hours, then rinse and dry.
How to clean High end Faux Jewelry: Mix together one drop each of baby shampoo and water (regular jewelry cleaners, usually meant for the real deal, are too harsh to use on costume pieces). Use a soft toothbrush or Q-Tip to clean hard-to-reach spots. Rinse off quickly in cool water and dry with a clean, soft hand towel or microfiber cloth.
